RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show
Back in the fantastic grounds of the Hampton Court Palace, this high-end flower show at the Hamptom Court Palace will bring together some of the leading nurseries and designers of the country, with world-class gardens on display. Due to be held from the 3rd to 8th of July, the visitors will be walking through a field of hundreds Verbena Bonariensis creating a violet, lilac and lavender sweeping across the Long Island. ‘The Lifestyle Gardens’ is the new garden category, featuring patches designed by emerging female designers.
Pride in London Parade
The annual helping of LGBT+ spirit, fun-loving crowds and rainbow flags is here with the London Parade on the 7th of July. The event this year will be boasting hundreds of walking groups and floats from across the LGBT+ spectrum, marching through the heart of the city. There will be an extensive line-up of pop-tastic entertainment with the streets filled with LGBT community members, all gathering to rejoice the battle for equal rights.
Henley Festival
It’s time to don the black tie, with the Henley-on-Thames gearing up for a show starting 11th of July, as you get an opportunity to watch Nile Rodgers, Grace Jones or Rita Ora. This event with a specific dress code will be providing a civilised setting for enjoying lashings of Moet, comedy, opera and pop all at one junction. To feed your cravings, there are sit-down restaurants as well. Exit the King
This 17th of July, the Olivier Theatre at the South Bank in London, Patrick Marber will be directing his very own adaptation of dark comedy, Exit the King. He is also the author of Closer, who recently adapted Three Days in the Country for the National. The 400-year old king Rhys Ifans will be the main star, coming on the back of his leading role in A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic Theatre. On the other hand, the role of his wife will be played by Indira Varma. The designs will be provided by Anthony Wars, who also did the sets for the Nutcracker ballet.
Moonshine Saloon
Gear up and head towards the Kings Road in London on the 19th of July, for an immersive cocktail experience this summer, with the Moonshine Saloon. You are free to bring your own selection of liquor into this elicit saloon. Inside you will find a pastime of a filthy frontier town, where you can stop by at a tailor to get some cowboy gear. Try your luck in a card and dice game at the General Store, while sipping on some personalised cocktails of your choice.
Sea Creatures
Get a glimpse into the inaccessible areas of the ocean, as you grab a chance to explore this groundbreaking exhibition, delving deep into the waters. From the 20th of July, over 50 real-life specimens will be put on display at the Royal Horticultural Halls, showcasing cross sections of animals such as Great White Sharks, penguins and whales. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover how life is possible in the oceans, as you get up and personal with complex organs. The event also includes virtual reality experience giving an insight into the deep parts of the ocean.
RideLondon FreeCycle
The biggest bike festival in Britain is here with the RideLondon FreeCycle to be held on Saturday, the 28th of July. Over 70000 riders of all abilities will be taking part in this celebration of cycling, riding through the streets of London in an 8-mile loop. There will be stilt bicycles, music bikes and bands along the way, taking in some of the most iconic sights of the city. From Buckingham Palace to Tower Bridge and the House of Parliament, the sights will create an inspiring background for a day of cycling.
